Charleston, on Interstate 79-
Interstate
79 North to Morgantown, then follow the Pittsburgh (Interstate 79) directions
below.
From Pittsburgh,
on Interstate 79- Interstate 79 South to
Morgantown, take Interstate 68 East. Take the Sabraton exit for Route 7 East. Go
approximately 36 miles. 1 mile past Terra Alta, a sign on the right reads Alpine
Lake, take the road to the left- Alpine Lake Road (Route 46). In 2 miles you
will see our office on the left & the entrance to Alpine on your right. For
one of our rentals, pick your key up at the entrance gate. You
may also stay on 68 to Route 26 South & follow directions below.
From
Pittsburgh, on Route 51-
Route 51 South to Uniontown, take Route 119
South to Route 43 South. When 43 ends, take a left onto the Lake Lynn Road (½
mile you will come to Route 857, take a right onto 857 South). Stay on 857 South
until Interstate 68 East. Take 68 to Route 26 at Bruceton Mills. Take 26 South
to Albright. At the bridge that crosses Cheat River, take a left onto the St.
Joe Road just before the bridge. Stay on that road for about 3 miles (the
River will be on your right) you will come to Route 7 where another bridge
crosses Cheat River. Take a left on Route 7 East. Stay on Route 7 for
approximately 10 miles. 1 mile past Terra Alta, a sign on the right reads Alpine
Lake, take the road to the left- Alpine Lake Road (Route 46). In 2 miles you
will see our office on the left & the entrance to Alpine on your right. For
one of our rentals, pick your key up at the entrance gate.
From Pittsburgh, on Route 119- Route
119 South to the far end of Uniontown, to Route 43 South. When 43 ends, take a
left onto the Lake Lynn Road (½ mile you will come to Route 857, take a right
onto 857 South). Stay on 857 South until Interstate 68 East. Take 68 to Route 26
at Bruceton Mills. Take 26 South to Albright. At the bridge that crosses Cheat
River, take a left onto the St. Joe Road just before the bridge. Stay on
that road for about 3 miles (the River will be on your right) you will come to
Route 7 where another bridge crosses Cheat River. Take a left on Route 7 East.
Stay on Route 7 for approximately 10 miles. 1 mile past Terra Alta, a sign on
the right reads Alpine Lake, take the road to the left- Alpine Lake Road (Route
46). In 2 miles you will see our office on the left & the entrance to Alpine
on your right. For one of our rentals, pick your key up at the entrance gate.
From Washington-Baltimore area-
Interstate 70 West to Interstate 68 West (which begins at Hancock). Stay on 68
West until you get to the Route 219 South exit (Exit 14-Keysers Ridge). Stay on
219 South until you get to Oakland, MD. At the 5th stop light in Oakland take a
right onto Route 39 West . Stay on 39 West for 7 miles and you will come to the
West Virginia state line. The road then becomes WV Route 7 West. Go another 2 ½
miles to the sign on the left just after the state road garage which reads Alpine
Lake. Take the road to the right- Alpine Lake Road (Route 46). In 2 miles you
will see our office on the left & the entrance to Alpine on your right. For
one of our rentals, pick your key up at the entrance gate
To Albright from
Alpine Lake, in case you are going rafting on the Cheat River-From
the entrance gate go back down the road to Route 7 and turn right. Stay on Route
7 West (for approximately 10 miles) until to get to the bottom of the mountain.
You will see a bridge that crosses Cheat River. Take the road to the right (St.
Joe Road) just before the bridge. Stay on that road for about 3 miles and
you will come to Albright. Several rafting companies are in Albright.
